Service Description

Discovering the Sahara. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or a traveler seeking new experiences, a trek in the Sahara Desert in Morocco promises to be an unforgettable adventure, where every moment is imbued with the captivating magic of this legendary landscape. Will you dare to answer the call of the desert and leave your mark in the endless sands of the Sahara? This trek is challenging. Average walking time is 4.5 to 5 hours per day. ⁎ On the first day, you'll travel by bus from your destination city to the permanent bivouac of M'Hamid El Ghizlane at the gateway to the desert. You'll have the chance to pass through several Berber villages in the Atlas Mountains. You'll make several stops for lunch or to admire the scenery at the Tichka Pass. You will spend the night in a comfortable permanent bivouac. ⁎ On the second day, breakfast will be served at dawn, and then you'll head to Sidi Naji accompanied by your local guide, a camel caravan, and nomads. Sidi Naji is where you can discover the tomb of the famous marabout of the same name. He is the founder of the Nouais tribe. It is a place of pilgrimage for desert nomads. Spend the night under the stars or in a Berber tent. ⁎ On the third day, we head to Erg Zahar, the Howling Dune in the heart of the Dräa Valley, a breathtaking landscape, with dunes that give the impression of waves. Between the dunes and the mountains, you can marvel at the sunset. ⁎ The fourth day will be divided into two stages. The first leg will take you to Erg Aït Ounir, a remarkable erg for its unique vegetation and dunes located right next to the Dräa Valley. After a lunch break, your camel caravan and the nomads will take you to Erg Nbak El Aoud, an erg with a large number of dunes. You can take shelter from the sun in the shade of the tamarisk trees, either for a break or to set up your sleeping mat for the night. You'll appreciate the place for its magnificent vegetation. ⁎ On the last day, return to the permanent bivouac to spend one last night or to take the 4X4 to M'Hamid and catch the bus back to your destination.
