Service Description
The Path of the Nomads. Welcome to the Sahara Desert in Morocco, a world apart, where every step is a discovery, every horizon a promise. Let yourself be captivated by its grandeur, simplicity, and raw beauty. Prepare for an adventure that will remain etched in your memory forever. ⁎ On your first day, you will take the bus to your permanent bivouac to spend the first night. You will cross the Atlas Mountains and a few villages where you can make a few stops to enjoy your meal and admire some of the beautiful Atlas landscapes. ⁎ On the second day, after breakfast served by our local nomads, you will enter the desert and your trek will take you to Sidi Naji, where the tomb of the famous Marabout Sidi Naji, founder of the Nouaïs tribe, is located. On the third day, the camel caravan and nomads will take you straight to the largest dune, Erg Zahar, the Howling Dune. A magnificent landscape stretching as far as the eye can see, the highest dune in the Sahara Desert. Considered the most beautiful dune in the region. Our bivouac will be set up at the foot of this majestic golden dune. On the fourth day, we will head to Erg Smar, an Erg near a village engulfed by sand and abandoned. It was once a meeting place for camel traders. You can enjoy the well and the water, which can be heated using solar panels. You will spend the night under the stars or in a Berber tent. On the fifth day, you will head to Aït Ounir, remarkable for its unique vegetation, its dunes located right next to the Dräa Valley. You'll enjoy the shade provided by the vegetation. The camels can quench their thirst at the well. We'll cross the river, which unfortunately has dried up. ⁎ On the sixth day, we'll head back to the permanent bivouac and spend our last night in the desert at the foot of the Nbak El Aoud dunes. This erg boasts numerous dunes and numerous tamarisk trees, ideal for shade during your evening break and a cool night. ⁎ On the seventh day, we'll return to the permanent bivouac to refresh ourselves and enjoy lunch before heading back to your destination city by bus.
